replacing tinsel leads

To correctly do it, you need to take off the Dustcap, carefully pick the tinsels leads out of the CA glue. Desolder then. Then solder and run the new tinsels, and recover in CA glue.

It's a delicate process. Be careful with the coil leads.

pm woofercooker 4 the leads then.

fi uses alot of glue ur not going to get to the coil without damage.

cut lead 1/2 away from cone. solder new to old, slide heatshrink tubing over connection. tape lead to under side of cone and use goop to attach lead to cone where you fixed. cut and solder to terminal...

 
Iv'e done it to the exact same sub- old style btl.

It's not too hard, like ngsm said you need to pop off the dustcap and resolder.

I got my tinsel leads from Fi- they'll sell you a kit that includes a new dustcap (which you'll need because you need to break the old one in order to get it off cleanly) and tinsels.
