Replacing Rockford Fosgate P2 subs in a prefab box

Ok, so I did a search and unfortunately couldn't turn up anything on this subject. I bought a the P2L212 which is a pre fab box by rockford fosgate for 2 12" P2's. One of them has started to crack already.

My question is, would it be bad to replace them both and put two P3's in there? My amp can handle it, since I have the T10001bd amp by rockford fosgate, I'm just not too sure if they would work with the box since it would most likely be tuned better for the 12" P2's.

Anyone? Id appreciate any input if I should try to keep the box or just scrap it all together and buy a new prefab box and put some P3's or T1's in there.

Forget a pre-fab box...all your paying for is genuine junk.

Build yourself a custom box or find someone to do it for you. It will sound 100x better.. Fisher Customs, Pound that Sound, and a lotta members on this board build boxes.

Go with the P3's, and get a custom box built......it will sound 100x louder...all a pre-fab is doing is stealing your bass...

Unless its a pre-fab sealed box, then buying custom will not make any difference as long as its sealed up and the right size. If its ported, then deff get rid of that pre-fab.

Yea, the P2L-212 comes with a ported enclosure so I guess I'll just let these die out and in the mean time find someone who can build me a custom box or buy one from a store after i get the P3's. Thanks a bunch guys
