Replacing amplifier fan

I have a lanzar opti 1000d that i bought off this forum and the amp works perfectly except the fan which emits a loud humming sound. My car is a hatchback and i can hear the fan doing its thing in the back at lower listening levels, ive sprayed some lube and the sound is still there. so im trying to replace it. looks like it plugs into a connecter, could be a longshot but do car amps use the same fan connecters as small computer fans? if anyone has changed a fan amp your help is appreciated.

heres a pic of the guts

most if not all computer fans are 12vdc as well so they will work...you can test it first by hooking the red pos and black gnd wire to a 12v car battery and make sure it works ...then solder and heat shrink into your amplifiers fan plug...radio shack carries a large assortment of 12v fans in various sizes...also

to whytellyou:

is there a way to do that while keeping the wires inside the amp? what im picturing in my head are extra wires coming out of the amp vents going into the remote and ground on the amp on the outside? is this correct?

is there any other way to make it plug into the same connecter? or is it a special plug that only lanzar uses

this is what i was hoping for! have you done this before?

yeah ive had noisey ones and some that just played out...ive never had any problems...i always save the old 12v fans out of junk computers when i tear them apart for scrap...
Just what he said you can do it that way with the heat shrink, And make it look like it belongs in there.
