i got an older pioneer amp for free the other day and im wanting to repaint it. it has some deep scratches in it though. What can i do to fill the scratches

sand it. if theyre really deep you could fill them with bondo and then sand.

No need to fill it with bondo. Just use spot putty, sand, primer, then paint. You could use any color paint too. Doesn't have to be high temp.

There are different kinds of painters. The easy kind that paint wood, drywall, and the like. And the hard kind that paint metal and such. 2 different ball games. Not saying you cant do it.

painting houses isnt easy as it sounds. i thought the same thing before i started.

I am not trying to rag on your skills. I have painted my house and many cars. Houses don't have shit on a car. Really depends on what kind of finish you are looking to get.
