if its anything like my chevy truck. the two front seats are bolted to a large frame , so is the console. take the front seats out as a whole unit and the bolts for the console will be on the underside of that frame. mine is flush with the floorpan and is impossible to do without snatching both seats.
I've got an '08 Silvy and looked into it at one point before deciding to hide my amps in the center console...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif...and by the looks of it, yes, you gonna have to remove the seats...not a simple project bro. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

It's not simple if you're using ordinary tools. If you're going to take your seats out, get some deepwell sockets that will fit an impact wrench, and of course an impact wrench. You can have those seats out in just a few minutes. Try cranking on them with a normal wrench and yeah... it's a job.
