I have a Pioneer DEH-P6400 head unit and I can't figure out how to remove the damm wiring plug from the back. Pushed it in and it went "click", nice & snug. Now I need to get it out again. Don't see any ears or locking levers or anything to press in to get the plug to release. Is there a trick to this? Do I need some kinda frikkin tool or somethin?

Grrrrr.

at the top center of the plug...there is supposed to be a small clip...i believe you suppose to take a small screw driver and gently press it down while pulling it out...do this very carefully...cuz i got frustrated with mine and i broke the clip...but no big harm cuz the plug still fits nice n snug...and you wont notice if the clip is broken off

good luck

Thanks man. They give ya this little poker thingie for a faceplate "tool", and special hooks for removing the HU from the sleeve... I was thinking maybe there's another fandangled special tool for the plug. I'll try a screwdriver.
