Yes or you could just jumper the 12 volts plugged into the amp to the remote with a small piece of wire, same difference.

Are you talking about running a small 16-18 guage wire from the power input on the amp to the remote input.Cause' that was brought up on a different thread and i wanted to know if it actually works. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yes it works but your amp will be on all the time, leading to a dead battery
I see, Thanks for the info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

You can run your remote wire with the RCA cables and not have any problems at all, I've been doing this for years and years without any ill effects....the remote wire is carrying milliamps; interferences is not going to be an issue.

Whether you'll get interference depends on your RCA's IMO. I have 2 amps, running off of a 4-guage wire (distributed to 2 8 guage wires). The RCAs for my sub amp are run along the same side as the power wire. These were expensive RCA's, and the insulation on these are very thick. Now.. i have two pairs of RCA's running along the other side of my car. If I put anything near them that has any current running though it, my speakers produce a high-pitched noise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif These RCA's are quite thin compared to my sub amp's RCAs

With the amplifier fused it will be fine for testing an amplifier to see if there is an issue with the remote wiring coming from the HU, or great...

As stated..A jumper wire from remote to Power on amplifier will be a nice little test to see if the amplifier is working. If it does, I would...
