Sure! You can also use 16awg, or 18, or 22, or whatever you like! The remote activation output wire doesn't need to be able to carry huge amounts of current ~ only carry current at all. The remote turn-on lead that works my monoblock is tee-freggin'-tiny....probably like 28awg or something? It's like pencil-lead thin. Everyone that sees it questions me about it.....it's like that on purpose to prove a point that most don't realize. fuse it with a small inline fuse. BAD things can happen to the rem section of an amp if it blows. It can send considerably more power up the line than it would normally draw.
