remote wire split?

hey , im about to hook up two amps in my truck, how would i split the remote wire the correct way to both amps?

I put one remote wire into my amps terminal then had another wire coming out of the terminal into another amp, like daisy chaining

I did the same. Works well for two amps - if you have more though, it would be worth it to get a relay.

Actually, the problem becomes that the head unit has to supply too much current for more amplifiers - and usually the remote turn on leads have a maximum current of under an amp. Exceed that, and you'll likely toasterize some parts inside.

That's why I have a 500ma inline fuse on my remote wire, just in case it gets shorted to ground or something.

so if I have an 800 or 1000ma quick blow inline fuse just laying around, it would be a good idea to use it when I run both my amps?
