remote wire help!!!!

First of all, im hooking up my radio in a '93 Suburban. I cant seem to keep the memory in the h/u. Everytime I turn the truck off,i have to reset all the settings. Secondly, It only comes on if I connect all the red and yellow wires together. It wont work with just the red to the red/yellow to the yellow. Even when they all are together,the memeory still has to be reset. My previous h/u kept the settings. Not sure what I am forgetting. Help someone!

found the problem. Used a tester and found out the internal harness has no power coming through the constant power wire.

no,not sure. Just ran the constant power from another wire that has constant power from the fuse box. Eveything is good now!
