Remote Wire Current Draw

Does anyone know roughly what the current draw of the remote wire going to an amp is? It's not on either of my amp specification sheets and it will be a pain to get to the remote wire to check it with a DMM. I'm looking at modifying my relay setup to control my cooling fans and need to make sure I have the proper fuse size. The remote wire for both of my Alpine PDX amps is 16 gauge so I assuming the current draw is minimal at best.

The draw for a remote wire is about 0.5 amps.
