Remote turn on question

18 gauge is good enough for this right?

Can I turn on two amps with one wire running from the HU by simply splicing together or do I need to do something special like a relay or something?

I haven't purchased yet, I could go thicker than 18 but just figured I'd ask. Yep, only two amps for sure.
