be careful turning it up too far...Originally posted by violator5spd I used to have that same exact amp. I tried setting it up with and without the remote bass knob, and I thought it sounded louder and cleaner when the knob was hooked up and turned up. For some reason it wouldn't hit as hard when the remote was unhooked. So, it is a good idea to hook it up & turn it up.
You blew a Perfect with that amp??? I don't see how that could be.Originally posted by Jdg784 What sub are you running it to and what are you gains set at? In my experience that last 1/4 turn on the bass boost adds a lot more power than the first 3/4..be VERY careful...I blew a Kappa Perfect that way

I had a pair of MTX Thunder 4000's that were 200 watts rms, 400 watts max in a 2^3ft sealed box. Had the amp bridged and the bass knob turned all the way up. My gains were somewhere between half & 3/4 of the way up. They sounded fine and didn't even distort.
you're right on that oneOriginally posted by rco8786 Perfects are not known to be very tough subs
