Remote bass controls fairly universal?

Just curious, I already have a remote bass knob ran for my current JL, will that work with another amp that uses the same kind of connection, or are these fairly proprietary?

Still undecided, I think I have it narrowed down to RF T100bd, AB VFL 100.1 or CA Symphony 1500.1. I think they all have the same type of connection as the JL but I'm not 100% sure.
