but what is God?
God is different for each person. Some people see some mystical force in the clouds as God. Some people see a six-armed elephant as God. Frosty sees glowing tubes as God. God is a personal concept. No one can tell you (even though religions try) what to see as God.

Yes, so why should it matter if the word God is in any national currency or in the pledge? You interpret God as you would like, even if you do not think he is the 'all mighty.'

There must be some reference to religion in other coutnry's money, isnt there? No one is complaining about that...

Perhaps because they're...umm...concerned with real issues?

Like whether or not they'll be able to get to work without being blown up, or having the government breathing down their necks?

To be the Devil's advocate you are technically endorsing monotheism by claiming just a singular god. All polytheistic religions are excluded and even pantheism could technically be considered not not part of it.

No they shouldnt for the simple reason that it is a stupid *** arguement that I would not want my tax dollars to go for this debate in washington... I dont necessarily believe in god, but I sure as hell dont care if my currency references it... the politically correct world we live in these days is ridiculous beyond belief.

why would you want to take the one thing out of this country that this country was originally founded for. All you agnostic, athiest, scientologist, satanic, etc, etc, mother fuckers need to be more tolerant. not like liberals to be untolerant:rolleyes:

That's a very ironic statement.

never said that I was a very tolerable person. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Whenever we said the pledge, I always yelled out "UNDER ME" when we were supposed to say under god. Think I offended a couple people, but they were jackasses so their opinion didnt count //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

thats fine, say what you want. I just dont like someone saying I cannot say what is supposed to be said

No one is saying you cant say what you think is supposed to be said, however, we feel more pressured to say what we dont believe we should say. If they take it off, you can still say it, and we wont feel pressured to say it. make sense?

Like it was said before, "Under God" was not originally part of it...so technically, you're not saying "what is supposed to be said" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
