thas all i know of
lol some friends that i have like some cali rap music that is lame too me because they copy the beats from the original maker like dre etc. the cali rappers are Mr.Capone, snapper ,Mr.Shadow, hipowermusic:crap:

try rakata from wisndel and yanderl. rompe -dady yankee. reggaeton lation- don omar. pobre diable-don omar like you-dady yankee pappi no me dehes solo (i think thats the name) -daddy yankee (i think)

Im Dominican (latino)

I use to listen to it a bit...early last year. Reggaeton has gone mainstream with latinos.

I dont like it very much...same beats over and over. Most of them talk too much shyt.

I do like Tego Calderon though.......and Don Omar...they keep shyt real.

one good thing about regaton is the part of like half the songs where it breaks it down to drums and then builds it back up again (like in the 'gasolina' song) and all the girls at clubs do that 'i wanna be Shakira' *** shake.

If youre going to say it sucks because it has the same beat, what do you have to say about almost every other genre of music? Most every style is based on the backbeat...hip hop, samba, bossa, rock'n'roll, afro-cuban, salsa, house, trance, drumnbass, reggae, etc...

majority of reggaeton sucks not only because of the beats being unoriginal...but because of the bullshyt they say...over and over again

dont you think almost all reggaeton songs sound alike? seriously man...listen to 10 random songs...they arent very original.

Reggae....varies with style and songs do not sound alike....and the beats arent always alike (I was just listening to Bob Marley, Damian Marley, Beanie Man & Wayne Wonder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

Hip Hop...other than copying samples...almost every hip hop song differs from the other

Same things go with all of the other music you mentioned......

each reggaeton song is almost like a carbon copy of the other.

perhaps you misinterpreted what I said.....I was saying same beats over and over meaning almost all reggaeton song sound alike with the same beats.....and its like listening to the song over and over again.

I guess it was a broad statement, in my part:(

Born Juan Luis Morera and Llandel Veguilla respectively, the duo of Wisín & Yandel are a bright hot comet of rhythm and dynamic energy making their mark in a genre that fuels today’s hottest musical movement, Reggaeton. A musical genre that distinguishes itself and sets itself apart by fusing Jamaican dancehall with Panamanian reggae root. Setting themselves apart with music so unique that it has the ability to cross gender lines and appeal to all races and ages, Wisín & Yandel have quickly become household names on the music scene and as respected artists.

Hailing from Puerto Rico and crediting their musical influences to Reggaeton pioneers Vico C and El General, this dynamic duo lays down their own particular stamp on the world of Reggaeton, making them not only original, but a breath of fresh air with insightful lyrics and a drive for excellence that refuses the thought of mediocrity. Their love for music is their bond and their unique chemistry lyrically and as performers is what sets them apart. Evidenced by their hits Rákata and Mayor que yo, their forthcoming album “Pal’ Mundo” promises to be their best album yet, as respected friends and colleagues the likes of Grupo Aventura, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Hector “el Bambino” collaborate and lend their particular styles to this dynamic twosome. They consider as their driving force the support received from their families, something well evidenced in their upcoming album where their excellent fusions reflect growth and maturity, while continuing to honor the genre for which they are known.

They have raised the bar and set the standard as the first rappers to receive a nomination to the prestigious Billboard Awards, and have seen all of their albums go gold. They have been awarded at Premios Tu Música in 2002, and continue to strive not only for excellence amongst their peers but amongst their fans. Most recently, they had a highly successful appearance at the awards show Premios Juventud, where they not only presented an award, but also delighted the audience with their song “Rakata” and sang the hit song “Mayor que Yo” with Daddy Yankee, Baby Rasta and Tony Tun Tun. As an added bonus in their strive for excellence, they are men with a purpose and a social conscience. They lend both their time and their name to foundations and charities like the Carlos Arroyo Association, and the Home for Children Living with AIDS to name a few. And, as all men with a purpose, they will continue to deliver their own brand of reggaeton , determined to keep us not only dancing, but expecting from them the same degree of excellence that they expect from themselves.
