Refurbished Amp

I recently had to send in my Audison Lrx4.5 amp for a warranty claim. Under Audison's new warranty policy they apparently no longer replace with new products but give customers refurbished replacements. Should i be concerned about this. Should I make a big deal about this with my deal. I personally believe I should be receiving a brand new amp but my dealer has said that is not how Audison is handling now.

What are thoughts on getting a refurbished amp as a replacement?

I wouldn't make a fuss about it unless the replacement is physically or mechanically damaged in some way...

I use a RF factory refurb and havn't had any problems with it. Some even say that refurbs can be better than the originals. Are they offering any warranty on your replacement amp?

a lot of the refurbished units look abused to hell...gashes scratches ect....i have seen some clean stuff that looked almost new before refurbished....but its been a while...i've been burned so much on refurbs i'd never buy one again

That stinks. Ive bought 2 refurbs and both could of been sold as brand new and I wouldn't of known it except for not being sealed in box. Were the amps you've seen beat up factory refurbs?

Usually refurbs are decent. I'd expect Audison's refurbs to be pretty close to new.
