refunds from paypal?

call up your cc company, cancel the purchase..keep what u have..and be the scammer...tell paypal fvck u.. And come out with win
no he needs to send back the unit once his cc refunds him.. and he can't just "cancel" it.. he needs to let them no he was defrauded.. or scammed.. you need to call them to do such

so if the seller decides he wants to keep my money and the unit i send back, he can with no consequences? the auction closed at over 600...
You'd better call your cc company and get your money back. Don't send anything until you either get your money back or make sure paypal has the money from his account. Because if you send that amp back the guy isn't going to give you your money back. He most likely already took the money out of his account. Do you have a link to the auction?

Well this same situation happaned with me and I shipped back the amp and its getting to him tuesday. So well see what happans, the seller was trying to get me to send it to kicker and I said no filed a claim and won and was told to ship amp back so I did. So I guess we will wait and see but the seller is kind of being cool now saying he will refund the money once amp gets there but we'll see what happans.

I bought off a Powerseller/Ebay Store so not sure if that makes a difference.

All you do is call your credit card company and tell them you were sent a defective item the seller refuses to refund you and that you want to file a chargeback. They will take the money from paypal and put it back on your credit card leaving paypal to take it up with the seller to get the money back. Once you get the money back you send the item back to the seller and supply a tracking number to your credit card company. That's how I had to do it at least.

can i still do that now that a paypal claim/dispute is already in the works?

almost right..

1st

take all the money you have out of paypal before doing a chargeback or you will lose it..

2nd

call your credit card company and explain to them that you purchased an item of ebay and it was defective and the seller refuses to refund you even if you return the item.

3rd

If and when the cc company refunds you it will put your paypal in a negative balance. (this is why you removed the money if you don't paypal will use what ever is in there to go towards the refund)

4th

send item back and provide paypal with tracking number.. if they seller still has money in their account it will then be refunded to you once the item arrives.. if they don't have money your account is ****ed and you will need to start another one

but before you do this call paypal and see if they have money on hold in his account... if not then do this process and if he doesn't have money available returning the unit is up to you

I did my chargeback after the claim was finished and I wasn't awarded anything. I called my credit card company and explained what happened and they told me I would be refunded but they wouldn't clear the money into my account until I provided tracking. I didn't have to do anything with paypal once I started the chargeback process with the card company. I know that's how nearly every chargeback went when that whole Ronnie Peay scam happened.

i was drunk when i won the auction, took a stupid risk there... i'd rather not risk that much money again, i can always make a new paypal account.

only thing i'm concerned about, is the dispute/claim with paypal... if it automatically closes in 10 days, then they wont even be able to credit my account from his if he puts that money inw ill they?
