Two main things I want to know are:
1. Recommended type/arrangement of stereo setup for this car, ideally using the existing mounts?
2. Speaker/Amp/modest woofer recommendations?
Currently have a stock, bass blown-out Jeep 5.9L Infinity Gold system that is going to be upgraded, which includes:
"10" speaker setup
2*tweeters in-dash
2*6 1/2" front speakers in-door
2*6 1/2" rear speakers in-door
2*6 1/2"(?) speakers & 2 tweeters in far back soundbar
180w Infinity Amp
I was thinking about two*4-channel amps, throwing a woofer in the back and having a funky 4.1 channel setup.
1a. FL 1b. FR
2a. RL 2b. RR
3a. RL 3b. RR
4a. Bass 4b. Nothing
(i.e. "FL"=Front Left)
I really no jack about car audio or what would be the best config, but that was what I came up with. Any suggestions for something better? What would you recommend for a $100 speaker, $XXX amp & $XXX subwoofer (smallish)? I mainly listen to metal/alternative. Looking into a CarPuter so will probably ditch the head unit.
