how hard is it to recone a sub???

my cvr 12 is in perfect working condition except for a hole on the cone i hooked it up to see ... if all i need is a cone could i buy a borke one with a good cone and switch them out???

you cant just replace a cone...you have to replace the whole soft part assembly...cone/surround/coil/spider.

Kicker is great about repairing their speakers. Maybe Polecat will see this and he can shed some light on what they can do.

duct tape is your buddy.

The price of one off ebay is like $80 shipped....I highly doubt a recone would be worth it.

I would use something like silicone or some type of adhesive.

I wouldn't just use duct tape.

ok well i have the original piece that broke so if i superglued it in their and sealed it with silicone would it sound good as new until i got a new one???

that works too...ductape adds style though.
