Is it comin for kicker l5's to smell?

I have had my system hooked up for about a week:

Kenwood KDC-MP628

Kicker 10" L5 in ported pre-fabbed kicker box

Orion 600d

4 Guage Stinger power&ground wires/12 guage speaker wire

I was driving, bumping my system with the volume at 22/30 with 4 passengers lol. The passengers in back of my 1999 nissan maxima noticed a weird electrical smell that we all thought was from the sub getting hot. I had only been driving for about 10min at most! Everything operates and sounds fine, but I was wondering if this was common? Nomrally I have one of my rear seats down and no one in the back if the restricted arlfow would make a difference.

I'm an IDIOT, comin in title = common lol. I was in a hurry

off topic but how do you like ur single 10 l5? is it loud enuf for ya?

its pretty f'in loud, but my car is huge and I'm looking for something a tad louder. I don't know if im going to find anything better then this for 600watts rms or lower though. If I find something new, would you be interested in it?
