Are recones universal for all baskets of the same diameter? Ie. Can I just buy any 10" basket and any 10" recone and put them together?

If not, what kind of specs do I have to look at to make sure that they will go together? What kind of margin of error is allowed between the specs?

I have some old HART Cardios, but HART Professional and the company that bought them are no longer in business. I've pretty much given up hope on fixing them.

I was mainly asking just to learn, but if there is a way to get these fixed, I would like to know.
