Depending on if the claw can be reconed with new softparts, I may get it changed to a 15 - the basket is cheap enough

I was told that it'd be over $350 including shipping to get a new basket (non-claw) and parts put on... ouch

Shouldn't be anymore than $100-125 + shipping.

Well, I talked to nick and he's going to see what they can do with a 15" basket - maybe get the new soft parts to work on the old basket. the he said the 12 soft parts in the v1 motor is NOT doable because the gap is too small but he's getting parts from his disty to see if the 15 is doable.

I've contacted soundsplinter, as well as some individuals who have the 15" basket.

Right now the sub is at the post office and an insurance claim has been filed. I'm buddies with the guy working there so instead of them throwing it away like they're supposed to, I'll get it back and have the money put into fixing it.

That feat can usually only be accomplished on cheaper Chinese made subs as the glues often what to peel up rather easily.

my buddy bought a new mag a few months back and the surround came unglued in a few spots before he even used it, and there was glue on those spots, it just didnt bond to the metal.
