Reconed idqv3 vs new sundown sa

It will be the smallest box possible sealed or ported, which is .5ft and 1ft. I'm using alpine pdxv9. The idq is 500rms and the SA is 600rms. I understand at the idq is SQ sub over the sundown, however, I question how much of a better "sound quality" am I receiving from the idq over the sundown? Also, would hear a noticeable increase in spl with the sundown over the idq with my current sub? Is it a matter that you would recommend one sub over the other based on the box I choose?

Reconing it is not really an option. The reconing kit is $100 and shipping it is $30. I'm getting it done at cost basically because its already at ID.

So based on all that, what say you?

Another thing, I bought the idq for 500rms, but when I got it on the box it said 350rms and at 500rms caution. Is this the same for all subs? Is the sundown the same thing?

No, I understand that rms is rms. what I'm asking is if manufacturers basically oversell their rms by such a large margin...150rms. I understand that it can do 500rms, but if that 500rms is a caution point, I wouldn't think it would be sold at that. With that said I do clearly understand there will be some companies that regularly do that, but is that a normal practice. I wouldn't think a company as credible as ID would "oversell" like that. Beyond me being interested in the SA 600rms, for future reference should I regularly look for a sub 100rms or so over what ill regularly be driving it at.
