Recone CDT EF-61 speaker?

I have a two month old set of Ef-61 comps and one of the mids appears to be blown. It might be a short in wiring, but when i push on the speaker it doesn't give...i can force the cone back slightly and i hear music as it moves back, but the music stops once i let go....i think it's blown.

My question is...would it be worth it to recone the set or going through cdt? Has anybody else had this problem before? If so, what would you recommend (toss em, sell em)? I was running the set actively off of a jl 300/4, so i know the speakers were getting clean power....the only flaw might have been that i was using the stock wiring instead of running new speaker wires.
