Recommended Amps?

Hi, I have a Q-logic QB-210.2 band pass box and 2 500w Kenwood KFC-W2503 tornado 10" subs in them. What amp do you guys recommend? I want to spend no more than $350. A friend suggested precision power dcx-500.2. what do you think? thanks, i appreciate it.

No... Do not get that amp. That amp will only put out 500w, giving your subs half the RMS that is reccomended.

Look into brands like JBL, JL, Phoenix Gold, Kicker, Orion, just to name a few... For $350 there are MANY options. Check eBay, and come back with some finds and we will let you know if you should go for it.

Edit: just checked the specs on your subs, RMS is 130, 500 is the max rating....max rating is pointless....You can get a **** nice amp to power those for $350, look into some high end brands, or you can simply spend less, and still have plenty of power.

Oh.. that changed a lot man. 130rms... I have a JBL 600.1 for sale, will do you good if you set the gain properly, and leaves room for upgrades in subs. Not looking for anywhere near $350 (around $170 shipped.) LMK man... PM me if youre interested

Nope, you can wire them together and use them like that. Since your subs are single voice coil 4 ohms each, you can wire them as 2 ohms or 8 ohms (2 being the best for less resistance and more power.)
