Recommended 12" for Sealed Enclosure

I realized that I wanted as much trunk space as possible and I figured getting a 12" sealed maybe the way to go. If anyone has any ideas as a far a 12 that can get low, sound clean and save space, I would appreciate it. I'm not sure if a sealed 12 can even get really low, but anything input would help. I'm looking to run off a MB Quart DSC1500.1D or something similar. I would like to stay around $300.

Thanks

This is a good choice. Get the High QTS if going sealed.

If you are okay with more than one woofer, other options for that price range may include DC Level 3's. They do okay sealed. But excel ported.

Also: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/subwoofers/481938-subtilis-12-a.html

They have the ability to get low in small and sealed enclosures.

I would also like to through the SSA Icon into the mix. Very lovely speaker.

something that you might want to look into is running dual pair of RE SE's. i know that youre trying to save space but in the right sealed enclosure these sound awesome and get nice and low
SE's aren't too bad of woofers. Could make you happy.

how about a ported 10"? a sealed 12 will need about 1.25-1.5 cubes and a ported 10 needs about the same.
Agreed 110%

It always seems to come back to those same subs. Its funny because I have considered all of them at one point. Fi Q, Level 4xl and the Xcon, all in 12s though. So will I be able to do the same in a ported 10 compared to a sealed 12? How many watts should I be running for that 10? Is the MB Quart sufficient?

The thermal power ratings are the same from 12" to 10".

There are many other subs out there of you want to go other routes. But those are the forum favorites.

I would not seal a 4XL.

How much room are you able/willing to give up? That'll tell you what you can/should do.

Also, 1500rms is plenty of power to accomplish some thump. The Xcon wants the most power of the subs mentioned, and it'll move fine with 1500, though it could take some more.
