Recommendatoins for simple single din for SQ

Good morning, I am in the market to replace my stock head unit and looking for a single din that will work with aftermarket speakers and amplifier. I am looking for a unit that will work with IPod connection..... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kenwood KDC x-993,x-693 seem to be well liked. The model is 1-2 years old, so they can be found for very fair prices and work well.

I've got an Alpine 9835 I might sell with an Alpine KCA-420i iPod adapter. I got the HU for my Jeep last week, but it doesn't integrate with the factory steering wheel controls. It's a great HU, 3 way capable, 6 channel TA, 5 band PEQ/7 band GEQ, full crossover (either 2 way or networked).

Works good with ipod connection and has many other features.
