Yeah, give us something to work with. A budget at least.

Personally I've had good results with Kenwood. They have a great price to performance ratio and if you don't mind getting used you can get amazing HUs for cheap on eBay

Budget is $250 max. I have always used Clarion, and or Pioneer. But I have read mixed reviews about the newer ones. Thanks guys. I do want a unit that has a usb, Bluetooth, and an aux.
if its just basic stuff like that you can get one for 1/3 the price that will do fine.

However with 250 you can get a pioneer 80 prs which is one of the best sound quality units on the market with a lot of audio features (not for newbies but the learning curve is not too bad)

So its all on you how you want things to go.

Even though I have read negative reviews, I still find myself leaning towards the Pioneer DEH-9800BT and the Clarion CZ505. Finally had to realize that all will have some negative reviews. Anyone care to weigh in on these two head units, pros and cons? Thanks

clarion is completely inferior in comparison.

Curious to why you think the Clarion is inferior? They have always made great products, and are single handily making the biggest change in the industry pretty much ever.
I'm not trashing clarion because of the brand itself man. I'm just comparion models.

That model of clarion is a very basic head unit run of the mill head unit with bass mid and treble and basic lpf and hpf vs the DEH-9800BT with head unit with time alignment, 16 band eq with 24 bit DACs

If clarion could even come close to matching those specs, they would be more recommended in the car audio industry. Sadly most of their head units are very lackluster in actual audio tuning capabilities. The last decent single din with proper audio control functions was the cz702 but that head unit had horrible sun glare and the interface was pretty horrible and the amp guard bug all together made the head unit unusable at times

You gotta know when I talk head units, I dont care about the brand name(as long as its not boss and the like) I care about the actual features the model itself offers. People can have preferences all they want but if a company releases a superior model at a good price, I wont care if its clarion, kenwood, alpine or pioneer, i'll use it regardless for the tuning capabilities offered.

Like people trash on sony but hell i say their mex 100bt head unit does some wonders for the average joe and i'd recommend them to anyone after seeing a few perform in person.

I'm with ya, I am glad you brought up the sun glare. Most of the Kenwood's I have dealt with, along with the Pioneers have this issue. The Alpine's do not. I know on this years models they tried to alleviate it some but it still is not that great.

I run an old school kenwood x891... Cost $100 and lasted like 7years in my truck and still going. Love this radio so much I bought a second one just Incase something where to happen. Not gunna lie the shop around me sells Sony. And every car they put a this Sony single din in with 5v preouts gained 1db on the meter. It's like a freak of nature.

This one^ sounds real clean. I'm still a kenwood guy for easy navigation through songs and folders though.
