Recommendations on Amp for 15" xxx?

well i just blew my pa 2500d last week and now im in the market for another amp.....so im just wondering what all you guys have ran a 15" xxx with and how it worked out. Dont want to get another amp and blow it....not sure how this one blew anyways, i used Dmm and a 50hz test tone to set up the gain so i wasnt even running it hard, but one of the main power coils inside the amp blew and melted all over the place.....so i dont wanna get another amp and get stuck in this situation again so im up for recomendations on new amps. Orion 2500d for sure. I have mine hooked up giving my xxx 2200 @ 1 ohm. 4^3 @ 30hz OMG!!!!!1

Look for a used pg tantrum 1200.1 (1500rms). They pop up on ebay pretty frequently, and some places may have some new ones lying around.

altho i will be using an orion 2500 on mine--after some research, i've found that in a big ported box the XXX doesn't need that kind of power to reach its thermal peak. that could be the reason you hear of alot of ppl here getting a recone--because they fed it too much for daily driving. in a big ported box i would say that in the neighborhood of 1200-1500 is more than enough to make em wang. btw i'll be using orions for comps and pa a2400db's for daily.

im giving my 12 in a 2.5 cube ported box a nine.1, I dont know if id want to push it with anymore, ~1300wrms makes it move pretty **** well I think.

but the Orion 1200D or KX 1200.1 are both amps that will really get the job done
