Recommendations for a table saw?

For $300, umm clearance sales at your local hardware store, pawn shop (if you don't mind bathing afterwards), garage sales.

Plenty of places, just need to be resourceful.

I know you said you only have $300 but this is one awesome table saw....

It's the world's safest table saw, very cool.

only thing besides a nice blade that you need is the table extender. I got one for christmas and there is no extender, so i can only cut wood up to 11" straight. After that i might as well use my hand saw.

i didn't see this posted yet. when u look at one, make sure one think u look at is the fence. if u can lock it down and it still wiggles on one end or the other, than don't buy it. that can really screw with a cut if u have some play in there. there is one brand that sears sells with some of they're saws that are very good. the name slips my mind right now though.

biesemeyer is the name your looking for. I would look into the Rigid saws. I was kinda weary of the brand but after checking out the contractor grade Rigid table saw at the local Home Depot I really liked it a lot. I kept checking craigslist for one to pop up for about 4 months and I finally found a used one that was bought for one project in pretty much perfect condition for $300. The fence is VERY solid and very accurate and it has plenty of power. Also has mobile base and you can hook up a regular shop vac to it (has attachment around the arbor) and with a nice vac you can keep the dust to a minimum.

Best investment I've ever made. Of course your brands JET, grizzly, delta, powermatic, etc, etc are always good to!

Thats the saw I run. The fence on it is pretty nice. However, I upgraded to a 55" (I think) Biesemeyer fence for more ripping capacity.

I use a Dewalt DW746 with the 52" rail extension and sliding miter table. You should pick one up if you can swing the extra cash. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah I would love to upgrade to that fence but right now my garage is setup to where I take my workbenches out and use them as support tables and can still roll my table saw into the corner for maximum free space when everything is not in use.
