Recommend pair of 12s for me!!

Hey my friend needs to get some new 12" subs.

-They need to be wired to 2 ohm (Dual 2/Single 4)

-They will be powered by an Alpine MRP-605 (600@2)

-He wants to spend around 200$ for both, so pretty budget subs.

-He has a 3.5 cubic foot ported box

Thinking about:

-Alpine Type S

-Mach 5 MAWs

-Eclipse SW7000s

-MTX 5500s

I know im missing a lot, but his budget is pretty low so just looking for some decent subs that will make him happy. Just tell me why you think he should get a sub that you would recommend... Please no flaming haha.

Eclipse IMO will give more bang for the buck over the Alpines and 5500s

oh well i have MAW 12s and they hit nice. The eclipse are 140 for the pair. I havent heard about them but i didnt think they were that great.. Do you have any other ideas in mind?

yea he doesnt plan on upgrading the amp anytime soon. The box is a pre-made ported 3.5 @ upper 30s.

eclipse IMO do better sealed unless its the TI/TI Pro series. i would check out the mach5's and give them 300w a peice
