i was thinkin about getting a Alpine MRD-M605 but being RMS Continuous Power @ 2 OHM : 600Wx1 wont it be too much power?.. i dont wanna have too much hard bass but just some decent to give me a feel of bass for my trance music

sorry but i need help badly .. need to buy an amp quick for my music needs.. just using a 4 chanel with front comps and sub and its shutting off my comps for some reason so.. was told to get an amp

That Alpine will work perfectly.

If it's to loud with 600W, then you can either turn the gain down so the sub receives less wattage, or adjust the sub volume with your HU (if capable).

In your opening post all you said was 2 Ohm. If you wire a Dual 4 Ohm sub in a certain way the result is a final resistance load on the amp of 2 Ohms which is why I wanted you to clarify.

So what we're looking for for your needs is 5-600w at either 4 Ohms or 1 Ohm.

Are there any certain brands you'd like to avoid??

You can get a Profile AP1200 (rated for 600w X 1 @ 4 Ohms mono bridged.....actual output would likely be 500 to 550 in that configuration and would still work well with your 13Ov.2) for $170.00/shipped including a valid 3 year warranty.

Certainly there are going to be many other options available to you but 500+ watts for $150/shipped brand new and warrantied for three full years is going to be tough to beat for any brand in my opinion....

i dont know any thing about amps and brands.. off course better brand are kicker as well as alphine etc. but not sure about others.. just wanna make sure with you guys whats the best one for me for around 150$

Cause that amp does power at 2ohms. you have a dual 2ohm sub and that can only be wired to 1 and 4 ohms( as stated by Prowler).

Excellent suggestion, however it's $125 too much given the OP's max budget.

I'll second the AP1200. Also look into the Pioneer Premier PRS-D2000T (600W RMS bridged to 4 Ohms) and the Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X10D (>600W at 1 Ohm).
