Slightly lower specs on the 5.0:4 compared to the 8.0. I would personally go for the 8.0 as it has plenty of power on tap. Both are great amps, though.whats the main difference in the Phoenix Gold R8.0:4 4 and the 5.0:4. from what i can tell the specs look about the same but one is much cheaper.
If size is the concern, get the PPI P900.4, hands down. Definitely small enough to go under the seats. I'd put the MB Quart as a close second, but it's a little taller than you probably want.well guys just about messed up and bought an amp before i measured but right before i did i went and got the measurements and the boston is going to be way to long, this is going in a rsx type s. so id like to put it under the driver seat. the Mb quart amps seem small and the JL you posted does too.
I'd be very cautious when buying anything refurbished from Boston Acoustics. I have heard of many faulty refurb amps sold by them. The quality control is probably low. Instead of one GT-4100, I'd prefer instead two GT-2125s from sonic electronics, where they cost $110 each, or perhaps one GT-2125 and one GT-275. I'd also have a hard look at PPI P900.4. It has small size, runs cool, gobs of power, clean sound.the boston acoustics listed above is the best amp easly for price 1 ohm stable and at 224
the links to bostons website doesent work but if you call them or hit refurbished products on the uper left then go to page 4 you will see the gt-4100
they also have a 5 channel gta-1105 which is really nice for 150 shipped and it would work perfectly with your speakers plus if you wanted to put a 400-500rms sub it would sound amazing later on
Agreed. I have heard great reviews on Soundstream, you should give them a tryThe new Soundstream amps seem to be priced really well and pretty good quality.
