Recommend enclosure nvx vcw104 need help mixed recommendations by nvx

I love nvx sorry to anyone who isn't a fan idk my ears just love them. I need some help here. The owners manual says only go ported for this sub 1.5 cubic feet at 34hz. Now nvx website and sonics website says 1.0 cubic feet max for ported at 36hz. I tried asking nvx no luck. What the heck that's two different sizes. I thought maybe that it was suppose to mean minimum and maximum sizes but it's not they just have two different sizes. What one do I trust idk what one to have built?

I would go for the bigger size box as they tend to sound better. Go for what the owner manual says. The website is probably just telling you what's the bare minimum to fit the most compact size but doesn't necessarily mean it'll sound the best.
