Recomendations for Subs

I have been out of the car audio world for quite some time, and looking to get somthing set up for a project Astro I have.

I am pulling all my old school amps out of the closet and dusting them off. Having competed about 10 years ago a bit in autosound, I figured it was a good place to start.

The big problem is what Sub setup I will go with.

For starters a wall is out of the question, as I still use my van for pickups and deliverys.

So my options here are a nice stealth setup, maybee consiting of some 8" or 10" subs with small enclosures, or with somthing a bit larger behind the 3rd row seats at the back of the van.

My main sub amp has allways been my MTX thunder 225ho, and she reliably has allways rocked about 1100 watts RMS, at 14 volts into a 1 ohm load.

Im not feeling the need for anymore power than that.

I am open to sugestions for a nice clean sounding setup, and would like to hear your recomendations. Back in the day, I use to have Atomic Subs, and I just spoke to a rep for atomic that assured me there quality is top notch, any thoughts on there line as well?

What are you looking for SQ, SPL, SLQ. I know nothing about the Atomic subs. Popular now seems to be DD, ID, JL, TC, PG just to name a few. Might start just checking out the brands that are big now and do some research then when you narrow it down ask about those specific subs that meet you requirments for space. Everyone is going to give you there fav sub or brand. So here is mine in no specific order:

Got a custom-built 12" TC9 I'd sell you for $200 plus shipping. Dual-2 ohm coils, all-black motor, black 4-spoke basket, black cone, carbon fiber dustcap. That amp will be about perfect for it. Throw her in 2-3 cubes at 30-35 Hz and you'll be pleased.

I'd say Fi or DD. They make some great subs that will give you some great low-end. They are kinda pricey if you have it.

FYI, Fi subs aren't exactly that pricey. DD I would agree with though.
