Recomendations for a Dallas shop/installer?

I have a 2008 Chevy Suburban with the factory Bose/NAV unit. I'm not wanting to do a serious build, but keep the factory head unit and replace the amp and speakers. I had the same thing done to an '02 Tahoe and was very pleased with the results. Unfortunately, the shop the did the work, The Car Stereo Store, on Greenville Ave. has closed.

With the exception of Best Buy, Circuit City, etc, I have no idea who to contact about doing this work or recommendations for the amp and speakers, and I would really prefer to stay away form the big chain stores. I've had window tinting done by Alta Mere on Lemmon, but they don't have much in the way of product line and they seem to be more geared to doing alarms, tint, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions on who I might want to check with in Dallas?

might be outa your way,but have you tried grand prairie audio?little pricey,but looked like they did good work.

I've heard both really good and some bad about earmark... I haven't dealt with them personally though.

I was really hoping to try to find someone closer than in GP, but it may be worth checking out.

Htown, like you, I've heard less than stellar things about Earmark, but it may be worth at least talking to them.

Anyone else have any Dallas suggestions?

i go to Auto Sound Arlington. its obviously in arlington they do good work. if you go tell them a guy with an old duster told you too. get meh sum brownie points

Earmark does good work but is a little on the pricey side.

For a simple install such as yours I would recommend Car Toys in Lewisville or Duncanville. Great knowledgeable installers for a fair price. They are kind of a box store but have seen and worked with the guys at both locations and can vouch for the quality of their work. I can not say the same for any of the other Car toys though.
