Rebate in tax return?

I just did taxes and they asked how much of a Economic Stimulus rebate i got back last year. i put 300.. and then they credited me 300 bucks on my Taxes... what is up with that? lol

You know....They have these things called professionals.

They usually have phone numbers, or places of business to visit.

my mom said the same thing. she thinks they r adding it into your income taxes rather then waiting till mid year.....

im glad everyone has simple taxes this year, i however am not so lucky. what you guys get back in tax returns and rebates is what i will be paying my accountant just to file mine, not to mention whatever i owe the government(around 5-10 k) for the year

not sure how mine is going to work. i had Jan and part of Feb when i was still in the military.

now im on VA disability that is tax free/exempt

Well i just found some info on my question.. but anyways anyone that doesn't know

Last year when you got ur rebate.. when you didnt get 600 bucks and you got 300 bucks instead.. they are giving you a recovery rebate credit of 300 more dollars... so if there is still a rebate coming this year.. you will still get that too..
