Reattaching a spider?

That was fairly common on those at the time -- we used 5-minute epoxy to glue it back down. It should set back on where it was pretty readily -- didn't have any ticking issues with any that we fixed.

Oh cool. I was reading everywhere that you should use a rubberized contact cement like the type used to hold surrounds and dustcaps, but that didn't seem right to me. 5 minute epoxy sounds way better, but I think I'm going to get a slower setting epoxy to give myself more time to apply a thin, even coat then use spring clamps to hold it flat.

Use CA glue with accelerator usually thats what they use to recone woofers and thats what i used on all my DD 9515s when i recone them. U can use the clear or rubberized one just make sure u put enough and let em cure. If u dont use accelerator it will take longer to cure. If u go other route just make sure the glue cures every glue has different curing time

I gave it the old college try this evening. Upon inspection, It seems the spider didn't come completely loose, just a little under halfway around. Regardless, toothpicks (to space the spider out while I applied the epoxy), a fine, short bristled paintbrush, gorilla epoxy, and some spring clamps will hopefully do the job satisfactorily.
