rearview mirror keeps falling off

i've reglued it with the permatex kit 3 times and it aint working....would superglue work better? I really need it as i had a run in with the cops and didnt notice the lights till he put on his siren after about 20 seconds after he lit me up.

those comments are why i rarely visit this forum anymore...ask a simple question and look what you get...anywho, i use my rear 90% of the time.. the only time i use my sides are for changing lanes and thats rare as i usually just peak over the shoulder.

Get a regular rearview mirror without all the extra BS the OEM Lincoln one has on it. I have a Mark VIII for a work car with NO system and the rearview falls off every few years.

first of all go **** yourself..in certain situations you dont notice things...i was tired and hungover... i am used to my rearview and i didnt have 1 so it through me off...**** happens...

was thinking about that but it has the built in auto dim and compass module for the messege center. but yea, it is heavy...

Try this stuff and clean the **** out of both surfaces. and sand the metal on the rearview mirror with 220 grit. That is what I did and it is still holding on.
