Rear fill question...missing music?

I was thinking about rear fill yesterday and I ran into a question that I didn't know the answer to. We all know that There are certain sounds that come out of the left speakers and certain sounds that come out of the right (and combinations thereof to create imaging).

Ex: 311-Long for the Flowers; the guitar solo ONLY comes from 1 side of the car

My question is are there any sounds that JUST come out of the rear speakers that you would miss if you didn't have a rear stage?

there WERE a few head units a few years ago that had dolby pro-logic, but now it's reserved for the in-dash monitor units

pro-logic does an EXCELLENT job with music

sony was also trying to introduce DTS cd's a while back, i had a sony cd-player that had it, but i never saw any discs that actually had dts

That may apply more when your lisening to FM radio. I enjoy my rear fill, and I do hear some music (sounds) that I would never hear otherwise. Music recorded using seperation sounds really neat. IE: Bohiemium Rapsidy (QUEEN) A Day In The Life (BEATLES) With rear fill you get a better difinition of the music vs front stage only.
