Rear fill how important is it?

Let's say you have a pretty decently loud substage and 65% of the time nobody is sitting in the backseats. How important is it to have speakers in the rear fill? Does having or not having it effect the over all front stage? If so how?

Having it without proper processing screws up the front stage but I don't think you have a front stage

A front stage is more than just front speakers. It a sound stage

I'm trying to put everything together now so I can see how to go about having a front stage. I have plenty of processing as well 2 zed audio draconia 4 channel amps, a PPI 88r DSP , and a pioneer deh 80prs
