My rear deck rattles like pamala Lee jumping up and down. Its not the metal part of the deck but the panel with carpet on it. I narrowed it down to where this piece meets the rear window is where the most rattles are, if I push down on it, it stops immediatley as soon as I let go it starts rattling again. How do I stop this. Do i get a washer and a screw or is their another way? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

dynamat or a sound deadener
I cant do that because the panel is like a honeycone shape. The dynamat wont stick to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

how do u put dynamat on the carpet foo?Try some polyfill. U should stuff enough so that it doesnt leave space for it to bounce up and down.
Thanks JoseMCeee i have tons of that stuff laying around ill try that.

no problem. It certainly helped my rear deck. I also had some little plastic things that hold it down (or suppossed to hold it down) but they would come loose and bounce up and down. I just added a little tape on the inside of them and made sure they were really stuck on there.

eff that, I'm bolting mine down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Well if your rear deck is just a plain flat piece of metal i gess that would work. Most rear decks are bumpy and have cutouts, bars, holes etc. So bolting it down wont completly bolt the entire thing evenly and probably still have some loose rear deck that will flop around. And I dont think it will look as good. Im pretty sure the polly fill will help out with the sound too. Its kinda of a deadener.

my brother had this problem, his rear window tail light was vibrating on his rear deck against his window glass - i just stuffed a sock between the rear deck and the edge of the light casing and it stopped.

just get some matching square of fabric and shuv it in there to hold the moulding away from the glass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
