Rear deck ports??

So I have a 05 Taurus with a completely sealed off trunk.

Currently running 2 12s cvxs prefab ported box but looking into new subs now.

Still gunna stick with 12s but nicer box. Anyways no speakers in the rear deck I wanna portg through it has anyone done this is the difference worth the headache ????????

not worth it. usually sounds louder but loses on the meter. traditional trunk wall is usually the best

Even if done right with big aero ports?? Or better off ripping seat off...

more port area wont really make a difference. its a phasing issue when you fire the ports up like that.

Ic.. Thanks so not a lost cause with box built accordingly ?? Top facing ports made through? Or how about has anyone built there box sealed in trunk then just put one nice aero port through rear seat:naughty: anyone feel like making me a box for some cash...

not lost cause no you wil ljsut have issues. they have done 4ths through armrests i wouldnt se a reason with the seat thing. i just took my seat out walled it never looked back

So your seats don't fold down? if the arm rest comes down, some IE: Kevin@Skar has done a "bandpass" type box and have the port firing through the armrest, you could also do some fabrication to make the seats fold down with hinges etc.

I was considering this option too... i have a MK4 jetta..big trunk but no armrest. Seats fold down but i rather go this route.
