Really, Really Wierd Problem

Okay this is a lot more simple than I will make it sound.

My mid-range speaker in the passenger side door just stooped working. There are no loose connections to the amp or anything. This is a very professional install, but this is really driving me nuts. When I run the speaker off another connection it works fine, so I know the speaker is fine.

Something is weird with the wireing and I just can't figure it out. Does anyone have an idea?

edit: Oh god, I just realised you guys will consider me a newbie cus of my single post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Pick yourself up a DMM (digital mulimeter) from autozone for like ~$15 and then you can tell exactly where the electrical current is no longer running (like if its at the amp itself, or if its somewhere along the wire.

well, if the channel were out, you'd have to either replace the amp, repair the amp, or just stop using that channel (and most likely it's opposite channel as well, like L & R).

Yeah It Really sounds Like the channel is blown.

Hmmmmm

Looks like I am going to have to use the xtant amp sitting in my room //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

that channel to the amp u are running the speaker to is gone bad, or u might have a bad connection in the wire, just run a differnt wire to the same channel and see if it works and if it does then there is your problem

Just do it my way, touch the wires real quick and see if you get a spark and a *pop*, if not there is no current. Touch the wires together real quick right out of the amp, still no spark? You have a bad channel. If you get a spark right at the amp, but not at the connection at the speaker, something is wrong with the wire.
