Can't blame this bill totally on Obama as it had pork from both sides in it but also know Bush refused to sign it last fall....government can't control/help the free markets spending all this money...Carter tried and we ended up with stagflation. This bill though shows exactly what is wrong in Washington congress uses pork to get elected and re-elected.

Oil prices and falling demand helped stop the drilling not just the liberals, why would a company poke a new hole and produce oil when it doesn't make money. There is plenty of oil currently, and if shit hit the fan and all 500k wyoming people stood up, the government would fill up on its petroleum reserves, come in, whoop some people into shape...and if they needed some more oil, they'd decide to poke some holes while there.

Who is gonna pay these workers to drill??? There is no money.......

And the oil there drilling for right now... is on peoples land.. and the people own the mineral rights.... they cant just come in here and take it....... I know... cause we have 10 rigs on ours right now... and we have cancelled the contract... and kicked them off... So they cant drill anymore... even with government officials eyeing the contract.... we have the right to do that!

They did. But they want to keep the rigs on the location until further notice... which could be up to two years... so we just cancelled

They can finish drilling but can not start a new hole.... the holes around here are 18000-25000 feet deep... so it takes a while to get there.... we didnt let them finish

There is no winning solution right now, and people don't seem to do that. No man, woman, or child knows how to stop this recession. You must try, and he is, until you find a solution. People complain about the spending bill, but wen their greedy ***** got 300 or so bucks it's all gravy.

America is lazy, simple, and our fat beer drinking ***** is paying for letting jobs go overseas but still giving them tax breaks. We had a chance to pay off our debt in early 2000, but we lost focus on this terriost threat that would kill us all. Ugh between media and politics it's all bs. I do think Obama is on the right track, invest in green energy, bring back our blue collar jobs, high speed rail, education breaks who want to pursue their college education. No one knows politics on here, it's ca.com, not CNN. If it was Mccain we'll hear the same thing. Something will work, give it time. I mean it's been under 3 months, not 3 years.

bullshit if I've ever heard it, seasonal ag work, maybe. Nowadays with unemployment like it is people without jobs will probably be jumping into that just to put food on the table.

True, I think what would sway a mans from doing a labor intensive job is if he'd felt he worked his way up and is devastated that he has to climb back up again. ... I would be upset, maybe say thing out of anger, but in the end, I would do what ever it takes to support my family. Americans still farm. I would guess that the corpate produce companies might hire subcontractors to staff the crew. Hey, I did not know they cut corners..... Either way if they need more money then ok. that just means we are in deeper than we realize and you got to wonder just how bad this illusion is, that America is strong.... AMERICA needs to stop buying other contries crap and stop trying to save the world. Because seems to me that if they all turn on us and we have nothing to fund our neccessities then we are PWNED!
