I think he means he wired each pair of crossovers to a channel to get a 2 ohm load. I don't know why he says he bridged the crossovers.

yeaa thats what I meant...sorry, wrong term...but I bridged it today...and everything sounds a lot better....BUT..I just dont think these comps can hang...they're close to sounding great as far as keeping up...but on a few songs here and there they still get drowned out...but im happy with it for now...so all is well.

And there is NO WAY 1 set of these could even come close to hangin with this setup.

I dont understand why you got two sets in the first place....if one set cant keep up with that setup then you should have gone with something better....there is better...

why.....cause one set cant keep up.....I have never heard in anyones car one set keep up. I look at some of the new cars coming out that have like 12-15 speakers....even though a little excessive...but they sound incredible...the new cadillac systems sound great. The new Land Rover Setups sound great...and the new lexus setups sound great....Why my 2 comp sets cant even get as loud as these....I dont know...My kicks are positioned properly...the only other thing I think I could do is build some door pods for the door speakers...but I dont know if I want to spend the money to get them made if they arent going to make the difference...cause financially I cant afford to waste that money if it doesnt work. I really think I just need more power...or better speakers....

I bridged the amp yesterday so I could turn the gain DOWN to 3/4....but they still get distorted at the level I need them to be to have a balanced system.

ever thought about turning the sub amps gain down to blend with the rest of the system?

Ok one set of TYPE Rs cant keep up.....ever thought of upgrading? Type R components are not the perfect product that will kill anything out there...there is much better. Unless for some reason you wanted to stick to all alpine, which I doubt since your running different amps.
