Really Effient SQ Subs

you need to learn how that senstive rating works, its faulty, some test in a car, some use the peak frequency, you cant go by that so easilly.

take an example, i tried a vibe blackair in my car today, 88.5db sensitive, put it in the same box off the same amp as my IDQ, 87db, that's also a recommended size by vibe, not so much by ID.

the IDQ is a much louder sub, cant tell without a termlab but by the ear the IDQ appears to be quite noticably louder.

Invalid.

care to explain?
Well for starters, suggesting that a standard for measuring driver sensitivity doesn't exist.

Second, simply taking one driver out of an enclosure and dropping another one in to make a comparison would require that the drivers had nearly identical parameters assuming that the enclosure was built to specification to begin with.

Lastly, one driver ending up louder than another does not mean that it was or wasn't more sensitive.

the sensitivity rating is flawed, people do not always do it based on average, they do it based on the peak loudness, some do it in a car etc etc..this is why i dont go by it.

the box better suited the vibe than the IDQ, yet the IDQ had more output.
