really dumb wiring question lol

ok ive got this amp, its an ma audio m289i, its not actually mine, its my friends. but my orion 2 channels are basically the same specs...anyways, heres what im not clear on.

its a 2 channel amp.

200w rms x 2 @ 2 ohm

ok i have my eminence 6.5" speakers, which are svc 8 ohm. 2 of them makes a 4 ohm load, 4 of them makes a 2 ohm load.

now, that means the amp gives 200wrms to the left ch, and 200wrms to the right ch, correct?

my question is, if i wire them @ 2 ohm like in my diagram(like rockford's site showed) i only end up with 1 pos and 1 neg wire, and if i hook it up to only 1 channel, thats only 200w to all 4 speakers, when i need 400 to all 4 (100 to each) how do i make it work how i want it to? (200w rms x 2 @ 2 ohms) with these 4 svc 8 ohm speakers?

ya its a n00b question...but hey, im not great with wiring yet...im still learning:D

bridge it
Don't bridge it into a 2ohm load unless it is specifically stable into such an impedance (and I haven't found any specs yet to show that it is).

Quite frankly....you can't do what you want.

No matter what you do, the most you can give each individual speaker is 50w RMS.

But also keep in mind the maximum difference between 50w and 100w is only 3db.

lol what would happen?

and what would be the best way to get the most power to 2 speakers instead of 4? only problem is that 2 makes a 4 ohm load...and at 4 ohm i only get 100w from each channel

The amp would likely release the magic smoke.....

That's why I said no matter what you do, the most you can get to each individual speakers is 50w //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You simply can not do what you want with the equipment you have. Stop thinking about it. Can not happen. Move on with your life.
