Interesting tests for sure. Too bad they had the mic sitting on the driver's seat versus on the dash.

this didn't answer anything at all.. all the results varied.. for the most part back was best but that was known anyways without walling/paneling it off.. so...???

This test was done about 8 years ago. I remember the results. However, it's strictly for sealed enclosures. With ported enclosures, a totally different realm of alignment comes into play.

Well, hell. I thought this would answer some of my own qestions about box orientation in my trunk. I just figured the results would be comparable to having a ported enclosure because I plan to port. And since I only have the small pass behind the rear seat armrest I was wondering the best way to fire my box for max output.

What about up firing? Down firing? If you throw ports in there you have a ton of options...
